Kylie is a fully registered Clinical Psychologist. She maintains full membership to the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and to the College of Clinical Psychologists. She has vast experience in working with individuals and couples.
She spent the early part of her career advocating for children and families as a case worker in the Child Protection Unit of the Department of Human Services. This experience motivated her to become more involved in the clinical interventions for couples and families and enrolling in Post graduate studies in Clinical Psychology.
Following her Masters training she was appointed as a specialist psychology and relationships counsellor at Relationships Australia in Brisbane, Queensland where she specialised in family therapy, couples counselling and the treatment of anxiety and depression in children and adults.
During a period of temporarily stepping back from her practice, Kylie had three beautiful children and focused her professional development in researching the psychological and emotional difficulties associated with adult survivors of child sexual abuse. She also has a special interest in personality disorders, Bipolar Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Complex PTSD.
Kylie’s empathic and caring nature combined with a number of clinically recognised therapeutic approaches has resulted in her working with patients who experience longer term unresolved distress including those who have had previous struggles with psychological treatment.
